This Privacy Policy describes how Pub Compass (the “Service”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use:

  • The Pub Compass mobile application (the “App”), and

  • The Pub Compass website at https://your-domain.com (the “Website”).

Pub Compass is owned and operated by Harry Twite (“we”, “us”, or “our”), who is the data controller of your personal data where applicable law recognizes such a concept (e.g. under the GDPR).

By using the App or the Website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

You can configure your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. If you disable or refuse cookies, some parts of the Website may become inaccessible or not function properly.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically (Mobile App)

When you use the Pub Compass mobile app, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information, including:

You can control location permissions at any time in your device settings. However, some app features may not function correctly without location access.

1.3 Google AdMob and Advertising Data (Mobile App)

  • Measuring ad effectiveness

  • (Where permitted) personalizing ads based on your interests

Where required by applicable law (for example, in the EEA/UK), we will obtain your consent before using certain identifiers or enabling personalized ads. Your choices may affect whether ads are personalized or non-personalized, but you will still see advertising.

You can learn more about how Google uses data from apps and sites that use its services at:

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following situations:

  • Service Providers

  • Legal requirements and protection

We do not sell your personal information for money. Where local law (e.g. certain US state laws) uses a broad definition of “sale” that might include some ad-related data sharing, we will follow applicable requirements (such as providing opt-out mechanisms where required).

4. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United Kingdom, but we and our service providers (including Google) may process your information in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, Canada, and other jurisdictions.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we will take appropriate measures to ensure that any international transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, for example by using standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or relying on other appropriate safeguards.
